ONLINE Group MOVEMENT THERAPY CLASSES
All classes are held on Zoom.
Tuesday 7am Circuit Class
This class will challenge your strength, flexibility, cardio, & balance. Each class is unique, ensuring you and your body will never get bored. This is an intermediate class for Pilates students familiar with the foundations of Pilates looking for a real workout! Don't be intimidated by the challenge - modifications of all exercises are always available.
Wednesday 12:30pm Yoga, Meditation & Self-Massage
This is a beginner class that is also great for advanced students. The pace of this class is slow, methodical and gentle. Modifications and progressions will be available so you can deepen into the pose at your own pace or adjust the exercise to focus more on stability and strength-building. Bring a towel, foam roller (if available), pillow and yoga mat to class.
Thursday 7am Reformer on the Mat
If you've ever taken a Pilates reformer class, this class takes reformer on to the mat in a super cool way! Expect to see some of your favorite reformer exercises retooled for the mat. And, if you've never been on the reformer, don't worry! You'll love the new exercises you don't often see in a mat class. This is a beginner/ intermediate workout. Don't be intimidated by the challenge - modifications of exercises are always available.
Friday 7am Pilates Special Focus
Whether you're new to Pilates or been doing it for years, this class is all about progressions. I will start with the most basic moves and then will keep adding on until you're shaking in your yoga pants! The best part is, is that you get to decide which progressions you'll take and which you'll skip for a very customizable class. Every week, we'll focus on a different topic so that you develop a well-rounded understanding of your physiology in movement.
Yoga, Pilates and Self-Massage classes in a group setting are an awesome way to get one-on-one attention for a fraction of the cost of one-on-one sessions.
Why are these classes called Movement Therapy? Hey now, we allllll have stuff going on in our bodies. Some of us are able to push through it more than others, but the bottom line is that you are unique and the approach needs to be unique as well.
It's of the utmost importance to me that you feel your physical limitations, pain/stiffness and overall health goals are acknowledged and addressed throughout class. This is not like taking a large workout class at a gym or a studio where the instructor is teaching a pre-determined repertoire. This class is designed to meet you where you are and provide a personalized experience. To that end, when you sign up for a class with me, please include an update on how you're feeling emotionally and physically and what your goals for class are.
However, if you are experiencing significant chronic pain or physical limitations, please contact me to discuss doing a one-on-one session instead of joining class.
While nothing replaces an in-person experience, online platforms allow me to see you clearly and make adjustments from afar. If you've been a client of mine in the past, you can be sure I know your body like the back of my hand and could cue you with my eyes closed...but I won't do that ;) If you're a new client of mine, I'm so excited to meet you! And I can promise you that I will pick up on the nuances of your body quickly. To do that, I may check in on you from time to time outside of class to ensure you're feeling well and getting the most out of class.
